ROSS EWIDGE POSTCARD
Floor Director Ross Ewidge (Say it quickly out loud) was one of the dozens of characters portrayed on You Can’t Do That On Television by the amazing Les Lye, a true genius of comic acting. Although nominally in charge of the children on the show, and of just about everything else, this headphone wearing Martinet was clearly not fond of kids. He spent much of his time trying to trick them out of the money they were paid to appear on the show.
The character of Ross Ewidge made occasional appearances on other Nickelodeon shows. He was the first person to be slimed on Kids’ Choice Awards and at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, and (Trivia Fact) the only person ever contractually permitted to be slimed on Kids Choice or on any show produced at Nick Studios. Make of that what you will.
